The City of Stirling’s Summerset Arts Festival will kick off tonight and will provide entertainment for the whole family from 24 January through to 11 February.
Some event highlights over the festival period include:
The Seaside Spectacular
The Seaside Spectacular event will be on tonight from 630pm, with roving entertainment, free competitions by Nova 93.5, followed by spectacular aerial performances accompanied by international jazz harpist Michelle Smith at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre.
The opening night of the Sunset Veranda kicks off tomorrow Thursday 25 January and will be the venue for some community events over the Fringe World Perth season including free local music at the “Under the Sky” sessions and Beyond Hitsville Motown to Muscle Shoals where the Milford Street Shakers will pay tribute to some of the most soulful American music all time.
Keep the kids entertained over the Australia Day long weekend, with Mermaid Story Time and The Leaping Lillies by Access Circus. Both events are suitable for young kids, and there will be a free workshop on Monday 29 January to learn some circus skills for those thinking of joining the circus!
Scarborough Sunset Markets
Catch the popular Scarborough Sunset Markets on a Thursday evening. There will be only 3 more market evenings to go with food vans on site to grab a tasty bite and a chance to browse pop up arts and crafts stalls. Market evenings will be held on Thursdays - 25 January, 1 February and 8 February from 5pm to 10pm at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre.
It’s going to be an awesome summer of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
