Are you planning your next holiday? If you would like to get your vacations sorted for the year, then hop on down to the Flight Centre Travel Expo at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre this weekend to speak to the travel experts.

Whether you need some inspiration for your holiday or are ready to book your next trip, you will find plenty of information and ideas to whet your appetite for travel.

The Travel Expo is an Australia wide event which kicks off this weekend with a 2 day'er in Perth and Sydney and a 1 day'er in Hobart. It is one of the biggest events of its kind and is held in each capital city across Australia, and some regional cities such as Newcastle, Townsville and Mackay.

Over the action packed weekend of the Travel Expo, you’ll find all the big name travel providers, tour operators, tourism bodies and airlines at the booths. Tour operators include Intrepid Travel, international rail specialist Rail Plus, New Zealand Holiday & Ski among the many operators involved.

Many of our Asian neighbours will also be in attendance with the likes of China South Airlines, Thai Airways International, Tourism Malaysia, Brunei Tourism and Garuda Indonesia ready to tempt you with their tropical offerings.

If you need to get up to speed and get some smart tips on travelling overseas, the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) will be there to answer your questions, and to offer their travel advice on various overseas destinations.

Flight Centre Limited general manager marketing Colin Bowman had this to say about the Travel Expo:

“Travellers have the chance to pick up special one-off deals on airfares, niche tours, family trips, cruises and accommodation, which have been offered exclusively for the event."

If you need to put your feet up for a bit while at the Travel Expo, check out the travel presentations that will run in the theatrettes every half hour. The presentations will be given by tour operators covering different destinations and include a variety of travel topics.
