The first four weeks of Boost for Kids held in February were a blast and the reviews were fantastic. Through BOOST for Kids, your child will learn improvisation skills and build a mindset that will help empower them, in and on any of life’s stages. The main aim is to build the confidence and self-esteem of kids through improvisation. With such a great start, Just Improvise has decided to continue with another 4-week workshop in May for kids of various age groups.
Check out more details below:
BOOST: Improv for Kids 6-8 years
Through BOOST for Kids, your child will learn improv skills, games and above all, a mindset that will help empower them, in and on any of life’s stages.
Guided by the Just Improvise Hive of Nine Be's they’ll begin to learn how to embrace change, how to turn setbacks into stepping-stones towards success, to champion imperfection, to be playful and above all, to celebrate being themselves.
One of the key parts of the activity is Improvisation. It is a constructive conversation where participants express and receive, hear and are heard and where something spontaneous is created in the space between the people, that wasn't there before.
Explore a world of creativity without technology, where kids can enjoy engaging their bodies, voice and mind in playfulness and fun, as well as delighting in others doing the same. Basically, all ideas are celebrated, imperfection is embraced and there is no right or wrong, only more or less helpful. Kids would certainly love learning. And best of all, it's a whole lot of fun!

FLY: Improv Skills Development Course for Adults
For those who are familiar and certainly for those who have made the JUMP into Improv – now it's time to FLY!
FLY is a four-week improvisation skills development course for adults, designed and led by National Theatresports™ Champion and WAAPA Improv coach, Glenn Hall.
The previous course called JUMP was an introduction to the core philosophies and general approach required to become a successful improviser, where the focus was on allowing yourself to 'be playful', to ‘be positive' and to 'be imperfect.'
FLY is the upgrade of JUMP. FLY builds on this grounding to further equip you with the skills to put improvisation into practice – in a performance sense, but also in your everyday life.
We’ll work on skills such as making, accepting and justifying offers; advance & extend in storytelling, and; making the relationship the focus in simple scenes. You’ll learn to look after yourself as well as focus on your scene partner, by exploring what it means to 'be yourself', to 'be kind' and to 'be bold.’
All JUST IMPROVISE courses are experiential and reflective and are run in a safe environment based on mutual respect and trust, encouraging fearlessness, collaboration, commitment, positivity and – most of all – fun!
PRE-REQUISITE: Participants must be 18 years or older and have completed Just Improvise’s JUMP: Intro to Improv Masterclass. The sSession will be held on Sunday, 18th May from 10am to 3pm at the Bedford RSL Hall.
