In a recent article, we took a look at what’s showing at the Black Swan Theatre for 2012, and checked out its change of venue to the brand spanking new State Theatre Centre. The Black Swan Theatre is now getting ready for its extravaganza line up of shows for 2013, and they’ve got some treats in store for play lovers.

All the plays (with one exception) will be shown at the Heath Ledger Centre at the State Theatre Centre, comprising a combination of classic and new works.
The Studio Underground, tucked away in the basement of the State Theatre Centre, will host one play - The Motherf**ker with the Hat - as part of the Perth Fringe World Festival 2013.

Well known Australian playwright David Williamson captures the heart of the audience with this interesting satiric play that is set on the sports field. Williamson is famous for plays such as The Club, The Removalists, Don’s Party, and Emerald City.
In Managing Carmen, the story revolves around simple local country boy turned sporting hero Brent.
