For local community theatre lovers in Perth, "Moments in Motion" consisting of Three One Act Plays is coming up at Roxy Lane Theatre in Maylands.

" MOMENTS IN MOTION – A ONE ACT SEASON

Three One Act Plays consisting of:

THE BIRTHDAY

by Peter Flanigan. Directed by Tim Riessen

It is Mrs Little’s 89th birthday.  She is in a coma, in a hospice room.

Her 4 children attend.  There is reminiscence from them over their growing up.

It is this personal journey that is central to the play.

From Robyn as the oldest, through to Phil as the only boy, to Gail the youngest.

As noted, this the FIRST time this play has been performed.

FEATURING: Nita Teoh, Michele Diston, Julia Webster, Ian Fraser, Kezia George and Pauline Atkinson.


MANDY

by Peter Flanigan. Directed by Luke Heath, supported by Rob Herfkens

Life, Family! Depressed and barely coping, Mandy plays out conversations over her lifetime to see what changes.

FEATURING: Melissa Cruickshank, Paul Cook, Tahlia Verna, Joanne Low, Josephine Wayling, Emily Plange Korndorffer, 
Jenni Glassford. 

FLUSHED

by Ron Nichol. Directed by Sandhya Krishnan.

It’s a singles night, and Jan and Meg are taking a break in the Ladies Room.

Jan is criticising Tara, unaware that Tara is hiding in one of the toilet cubicles.

When Tara’s presence is revealed, a fight ensues and Jan confesses the reason for her jealousy.

Then Meg discovers that the door to the room seems to be locked, and the succeeding series of mishaps and misfortunes ruins Jan’s appearance and assurance.

Tara eventually manages to open the door, but on the threshold of escape they find that Meg is trapped in one of the cubicles.
