Did you know we have our own Broadway in Perth? It may not be as famous as a Broadway show, but it’s definitely worth checking out if you live in the metro area.

The iconic Crawley Edge boatshed, windy Pelican Point and the bustling café strips on Broadway and Hampden Road are just some of the popular landmarks that you’ll find in the suburbs of Nedlands and Crawley.

Head on up the Mitchell Freeway. Keep going. Keep going. And you’ll soon find yourself heading into the sunny suburb of Mindarie.

Highgate may be one of the smallest suburbs in Perth but don’t be deceived as it has many temptations to lure you in for a visit, including some hidden gems that you may not be aware of if you’re not from this neck of the woods.

Its popular café strip on Beaufort Street has a fantastic mix of pubs, restaurants and shops and is easy to get to, being only 2 kilometres north of the Perth CBD and an easy bus ride from the city.

Most Perthites are familiar with Northbridge, and possibly Mount Lawley, depending whether you are a north or south of the river person. Highgate is wedged between these two other well known suburbs.

I like to go out for breakfast on Saturday mornings. It’s usually the only morning that I get off on a week. I had been out with a friend on Friday night in Freo, and it was only fitting that I ventured back for breakfast. Surely such a good night out could be followed by a fabulous breakfast?
